On Monday 4th June 2012, Bob and Miles climbed Scafell Pike to light a beacon of hope at the top, as part of the Cancer Research UK expedition. It was a quite incredible event, and we felt very proud to be a part of it.
Although we had been training for months up to the event, it didn’t prepare us for how difficult it was going to be. On the way up, Bob hurt his knee badly meaning that he had to be helped up most of the way, but we made it! On the way down, he was in so much pain that the mountain rescue team had to be called…
We are releasing a weeky video diary of the climb on our YouTube channel, so make sure you subscribe for regular videos! It was an amazing event, you will be thoroughly entertained!
In the mean time, below is a little pictorial diary from Andrew- one of the amazing guides from WalkWise UK, who helped us the whole way up, and down again!
