Aside from producing radio & TV shows, WBBC also manages and arranges various charity events. Through the last 6 years WBBC has raised over £1,000,000 that has been donated to several worthy charities. Here are a few of the events WBBC has helped to stage:
BBC helps to arrange the annual Sound & Vision night at Abbey Road, which features performances from some amazing artists and an auction for some tremendous pieces of artwork and photography, all to raise money for Cancer Research UK. This year’s event raised an amazing £340,000, and featured performances from artists such as The Feeling and Tom Jones. Read more…
SILVERSTONE CLASSIC CELEBRITY RACE
Now also an annual event, WBBC helps to arrange the Silverstone Classic Celebrity Race. As part of the Silverstone Classic weekend, there is a celebrity race that requires the celebs to raise sponsorship to donate to the Bobby Moore Fund. This year’s race featured such celebs as Heston Blumenthal, ‘Comedy’ Dave Vitty and Brendan Cole, with the eventual winner being Rick Parfitt Jnr! Read more…
